Coach Bales
Robby Bales
Assistant Baseball Coach

Coach Bales enters his third year as an assistant coach/recruiter with the Spartans.

He is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah where he was an all-state shortstop at Hillcrest H.S.

Robby was a member of the Utah Baseball Academy’s Jr. Olympic Team and Rocky Mt. School of Baseball’s “Team Utah”.

Bales began his college experience at Cuesta College in California under nationally recognized Larry Lee (Cal Poly Univ.) and then joined the Spartan family at CNCC where he was selected to the Scenic West Conference’s “All-Sophomore Team”.

Coach Bales started his coaching career as the head coach of the Western Slope Golden Eagles competitive baseball program, while also coaching as an assistant for Grand Junction H.S. The Tigers won the 5A State Championship in 2005 and placed fifth in 2006.

Robby continued studying the game as an instructor at the “Western Slope Baseball Training Facility” (owned by the new head coach) and is excited about being reunited with Coach Cassera. Coach Bales feels strongly that the baseball program is heading in the right direction.

Currently, Bales resides in Rangely with his wife Anna and his two children Dillon (13) and Taylor (4)
