The Craig Campus offers GED Testing:
Colorado Northwestern Community College-Craig Campus offers the GED test each month. The test is five sections, consisting of the following: Language Arts; Reading and Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. To take the GED, you must be at least 17 years of age. The fee to take the GED has been raised to $110.00.
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE GED TEST:
At least one week before testing:
- Register online at www.ged123.org and print a copy of the registration verification you download after completion of the registration.
No later than the Friday before testing:
- Call CNCC and submit your name for a test date.
No later than the day before testing:
- Pay the $110.00 fee to take the test.
- The price of each retest is $22.00.
The prices are mandated by the Colorado Department of Education and apply to all Colorado testing centers. This fee must be paid prior to testing.
The day of the test:
- Arrive at the testing site on time (8:00 a.m.).
- Present a current picture identification containing a birth date (driver’s license or ID issued by the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles).
- Present a copy of your registration verification.
Prior to taking the actual GED test, all students are encouraged to take the free Pre-GED Assessment offered through the Adult Learning Assistance Program (ALAP) in Suite 120 at Colorado Northwestern Community College. Because pretesting slots are limited, it is important to schedule a pre-test by calling ALAP at 824-1128. Once students are ready to take the GED test, they will be referred to sign up for it.
