G.E.D. TESTING CALENDAR
Colorado Northwestern Community College-Craig Campus offers the G.E.D. test each month. The test is five sections, consisting of the following: Language Arts; Reading and Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. To take the G.E.D., you must be at least 17 years of age.
Effective July 1, 2011 the fee to take the G.E.D. has been raised to $110.00. This must be paid prior to testing. Before testing a student must register in two places: online at www.ged123.org and by calling 824-1103 and reserving an assigned seat for their test date. The person testing must arrive at the testing site by 8:00 a.m. and present a current picture identification containing a birth date (driver’s license or ID issued by the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicle) as well as the downloaded online registration verification form. The price of each retest is $22.00. These prices are now mandated by the Colorado Department of Education and apply to all testing centers in the state of Colorado.
All students are encouraged to take the Pre-GED Assessment offered through the Adult Learning Assistance Program (ALAP phone# 824-1128 or 824-1101) at Colorado Northwestern Community College prior to taking the actual GED test. Because of schedules and demands on ALAP, it’s important to contact ALAP to set up a testing date. Once students are ready to take the GED, they will be asked to complete the online registration with ALAP and then referred to take the GED. All tests will begin at 8:30a.m. on the given dates.
