Distance Learning at CNCC is educational and instructional activities designed to overcome barriers of time or distance in support of the CNCC mission and goals. It is an effective means of facilitation learning, especially suited to reach a number of busy people who wish to increase their knowledge and skills, without giving up their jobs, leaving home, or losing income.
Colorado Northwestern Community College is currently serving a number of students through various modes of distance learning which include: hybrid (51% face-to-face, 49% online—usually only meet once a week), blended (technology is a component of the course—meet all the face-to-face time allotted), videoconferencing courses (people at different locations can hear and see each other at the same time), and independent study. In addition, fully online courses are available through CCCOnline with CNCC as the home college.

We are currently in the process of developing distance learning courses for our aviation programs and possibly bringing back telecourses.
This presentation by Dallas Telelearning may be helpful for you as it describes distance learning as well as successful learning strategies. There are nine segments of ten minutes each. Enjoy!
