All students at CNCC have a computer account, which allows them to access computer services in the Library and computer labs located throughout campus.
Students living in the Ross and Holland East Residence Hall have Wireless Internet Services. Using the Wireless Internet Service requires a network adapter fully compliant with IEEE 802.11g standards. If your computer does not have built in wireless you will need to purchase either a PCMCIA card for laptops or a Desktop PCI version.
If you have a non-wireless laptop you will need the PC Card (PCMCIA) version. (Example Shown below)
If you have a standard desktop PC, then you will need the PCI version. (Example Shown below)

Both types of cards are available at the bookstore for purchase. Also the IT dept. has Hawking PCMCIA cards for lease. Please contact Student Services for information on leasing a card.
The CNCC Information Technology department will help installing adapters, and setting up your computer to connect to the network.
Students in Nichols North and South have hard wire connection using a RJ45 Ethernet cable.
Students living off campus must set up Internet services with another Internet Service Provider to have access at home.
