H1N1, regular flu vaccine still worth getting

After all of the news about the novel virus H1N1, everyone has been on the lookout for the virus signs. After those groups most susceptible to the disease had the vaccine made available to them, it became available to the public. On Dec. 9, students at CNCC were offered free H1N1 vaccines, which are still being offered in Rangely. Craig has seen for the vaccine being offered, as well.
The vaccine is still mainly being offered to priority groups, such as mothers with children under six months, pregnant women and the elderly. The H1N1 virus vaccine is free, but for the regular flu shot, according to CNCC Nursing Program Director Marilyn Hehr, places that offer a sliding scale, such as the Visiting Nurse Association in Craig or in Steamboat Springs, are a good idea. › Continue reading
