What is your position: Wing guard (Basketball, second year at CNCC)

What got you started in your sport: 6th grade (First year played)

How long have you participated in your sport: About 10 years

Tell us about yourself: In my free time I relax or, watch movies, listen to music and hang out with friends.

High school awards: Honor roll

Favorite motivational quote: ” I can do all things through him who strengthens me”–Philippians 4:13; “If you train hard, you’ll not only be hard, you’ll be hard to beat.” Herschel Walker (Professional football player for the New Jersey Generals, Dallas Cowboys, and Minnesota Vikings)

How much do you train a day: About 4 1/2, maybe 5 hours a day

What motivates you: My daughter and the ones who doubt and don’t believe me

How long have you participated in your sport: About 10 years

What other sports did you play in high school: Just basketball

Best advice you were given: Stay strong and never give up

Who taught you your skills: Coaches, father (when he was alive)

Who is your athlete idol: I love Lebron James, professional basketball player for the Miami Heat

How do you motivate your teammates: By telling them what we are capable of so they remember what we’re working for

How is your college experience so far, and how is it different from high school: College is way more stressful for me than high school. Missing my daughter is very hard, but it’s going good

What are your hopes for the team this year: To work together and win games

What are your team’s strengths: Quickness, shooters, smarter than last year and stronger

Are you planning to play your sport after graduation from CNCC: Depending on the schools that offer my major; not sure.

What advice would you give aspiring athletes: Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
