Your heads up on end-of-semester events

You probably know that lots of things happen in April and May as the end of the semester gets near.  There’s early registration and advising, planning for graduation, and honors banquets. The trick is just remembering when and where all this stuff is happening.

Monday-Friday, April 4-8

Pre-registration for returning students, Fall 2011 – Rangely Campus.

Contact your adviser for an appointment time or see Charity Stolworthy in the counseling office (675-3205 or ext. 3205) to get signed up.

Friday, April 8

College Visitation Day, Rangely Campus

At least fifty 8th-12th grade students are expected to attend. Interactive, fun program presentations are scheduled, too. If you work at CNCC-Rangely, don’t forget to wear your red and black! And no matter who you are, please welcome students and their parents as you see them around campus.

Thursday, April 14

Honors Banquet, Rangely Campus, 6:00 p.m., Weiss Colorado Room

An annual event honoring the outstanding freshman and sophomore of the year, plus the recipient of the “Outback Award” and top students in individual programs. Faculty are expected to attend. Get your tickets from Becky Dubbert in upstairs McLaughlin. Her office is next to the Fireside Conference Room and adjacent to the president’s office (or call 675-3301/ext. 3301).

Friday, April 15

STAR (Student Advising & Registration), Rangely Campus

Accuplacer testing, advising and registration for students new to campus Fall 2011;  advisers are needed from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Day also includes campus tours, a welcome from the president, and lunch with program directors. Contact Tresa England at 675-3285 for more information.

Honors Banquet, CNCC-Craig Campus, 6:00 p.m., Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion

An annual event honoring the outstanding freshman and sophomore of the year, plus the recipient of the “Outback Award” and top students in individual programs. Other happenings include outstanding concurrent enrollment student and announcement of nursing scholarships. Faculty are expected to attend!
