Tim Tebow: Dreams do come true

By Morgan Roy, Reporter

At 6 years old wearing number 7 for the Lakeshore pee wee football league in Jacksonville Florida, a young Tim Tebow started out his journey to follow his dream to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. That dream so long ago came to life, for a vibrant and passionate young man who has touched so many at 24 years of age. It was Gator Day but who were the Dolphins kidding it was Tebow’s day back in his home state as he lead the Broncos onto the field and into battle on Sunday. Dolphin Stadium seats were filled with jersey wearing fans covered with number 15, Gators and Broncos, it was like a home game for the visiting team. Tim lead his team in to over time in the last two minutes of the game. The broncos pulled through and ended up with a win for the book. People may or may not think Tim Tebow is fit for the job and the responsibility of being a starting  quarterback, but Tebow is proving to not only John Fox but the rest of the team that he is working hard and he is fit for the starting spot. Since the day Tim Tebow became a Bronco he has worked so hard to fulfill this dream of being a starting quarterback. His whole life people have told Tim he can’t be a quarterback, he can’t play football in college, win the Heisman, or be a first round draft pick. Tim has proved all of those people wrong and came out on top. He has worked so hard to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Every football player has some rough games and doesn’t always do that well. In the game against the Lions Tim was struggling but that doesn’t make it okay for people to bash him and mock him on his home field. It took John Elway five years to become the best he could be. This is only Tim’s second year so he has a way to go, and awhile to become the best he can be. Tim strives for greatness and will succeeded on his long journey of being a Bronco.
