Washers and Dryers

Here at CNCC we have quite a few students considering the amount of washers present. A lot of students complain about washers and dryers being taken by other students. Many students propose getting more washers which would be awesome but is there a better solution? Possibly. If students would take their clothes out when it is done, it would make time and room for other students to wash their clothes.

According to Lindsay Spendlow, “There are not enough washers and dryers for as many students as there are in Ross Hall, they don’t get your clothes clean, and it sucks that we have to pay for it when we pay so much to the school already. They also need to have a coin machine if they expect us to pay.”

Speaking with other CNCC students, it is quite upsetting when they go to wash their clothes and find that all the washers are taken. What makes matters worse is that when they go back to wash them later, the same clothes are still in there.

According to an anonymous source, “I have had numerous occasions where I go to wash my clothes and every single washer in the building is taken. It is frustrating when you go back an hour later to find the same clothes in there.”

A possible solution to the problem is making sure your clothes are taken out when they are done. That could save the school money and prevent further frustration among the students. Also, students should be more courteous to everyone here. If you have to take all the washers at least watch your stuff and make sure you aren’t holding other people up.

Jessica Olsen said, “If we are expected to pay money to wash our clothes, the washers should at least clean our clothes!” Many students are upset that the washers do not properly clean their clothes. Lindsay Spendlow says, “My clothes come out with detergent still on them.” To anyone this would be a very frustrating situation which is why there needs to be a solution provided by the housing department.

It is understood by many that the school only has a certain amount of funds but hopefully the students her eat CNCC will be patient and wait for the issue to be resolved.
