Michelle’s Mindset on Rafting and Flight
Michelle Snowden Reporter

People have been asking me if I will be going to the Honors Banquet tomorrow. My response: No. While it feels good to be recognized for hard work, I’d much rather be on the river trip. Plus, name announcing and an hour of clapping and picture taking isn’t really my thing.
Do your job without hypocrisy: Some RAs need to practice what they preach
Michelle’s Mindset: Michelle Snowden Reporter and ColumnistWhen I went through RA training at the beginning of this year, it was said over and over again how resident assistants are here for safety and to form a “community” with the students. In these terms, I find that it is a great idea to have RAs around. I understand that they are a necessary student-to-student way of keeping peace within the dorms.
This, however, is not how I view the majority of resident assistants at CNCC. › Continue reading
Michelle’s Mindset on Spring break, snow, and spirits
Michelle Snowden ReporterWednesday 17, 2010
For spring break I am fortunate enough to spend sometime in Alma where my friend’s family owns a house. I take in the fresh mountain air, and the funky mountain style. Uncombed hair, a T-shirt with holes in it, Carhartt flannel lined pants, and best of all, sandals with socks. › Continue reading
Michelle’s Mindset: On love, lights, and lunges
Michelle Snowden Reporter

Michelle’s mindset: Two weeks never seemed so long
Michelle Snowden Reporter
Check out Michelle Snowden's new column,"Michelle's mindset," as she gives insight and witty perspective into her days, which are probably a lot like many students' days living on the CNCC-Rangely campus.

Drive up Kennedy Hill to see that our “Welcome to CNCC” sign is still not lit up, as it has not been for about a month now. How many people does it take to change a light bulb?

8:00 a.m. came VERY early this morning. Coffee was a must this morning to wake me up. I did learn that drinking too much caffeine makes me shake for a good two hours, but at least I’m awake while operating a drill and riveting gun.
Tuesday 01/12/10
8:00 a.m. came even earlier this morning. Rolled out of bed with only ten minutes before class started. Went through the regular seven hour day of classes, to hurry through a work out, to make it to a 5 o’clock newspaper meeting. Oh yes, the semester had begun, full throttle. On the way back to my room from the meeting, I notice all the strands of Christmas lights are still up. And I bet that if some Grinch hadn’t unplugged many of them, they would all still be lit up. › Continue reading
