By Tamekia Hunt, Reporter/Photographer

Base charter bus priority on length of season, not by trip

By Tamekia Hunt, Reporter

Taking a yellow school bus to college athletic events is less than impressive, says sophomore Tamekia Hunt. Instead of prioritizing the school’s only charter bus based on which team is taking the longest trip, it would be more fair if the team that’s been in season the longest gets first dibs. Or start setting money aside to buy a second bus...one that’s NOT yellow. Photo by Michael Dillon.

Many individuals give devastating looks to CNCC players as they arrive at a competitor’s house and get off a yellow school bus. The comments our athletes hear, plus their sore backs and legs after hours in an upright seat, become very irritating. › Continue reading

While we were in our warm houses sipping hot chocolate, and opening up gifts, the only thing that the CNCC Spartans were opening was a winter break tournament. Only carrying 10 players during the current road trip, the Spartans took on a few teams. Both the men’s and women’s teams played Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Jan. 7, Snow Community College Jan. 8, Northern Idaho Jan.13, and the Number 1 ranked team in the country, Southern Idaho, on Jan.15. While both teams lost their games and the road trip was tough, both players and coaches saw positives. › Continue reading
