Academic Council

Purpose: The Academic Council has the responsibility to recommend the College’s academic policies and its instructional courses and programs. The Academic Council shall also discuss and provide recommendations on matters of continuous concern about the College's curricula:

  3. 3. Academic standards, grading, withdrawals
  4. 4. Graduation requirements
  5. 5. Quality assurance for all learning, including online offerings
  6. 6. General Education, transfer, articulation

  8. 8. Assessment of student learning outcomes and select institutional assessments
  9. 9. Petitions and appeals regarding any of the functions of the instructional program
  10. 10. Procedures, processes and issues which affect and improve learning
  11. 11. May establish taskforces or subcommittees as needed
  12. 12. Appropriate input on program reviews
  13. 13. Proposed statewide changes in general education and Colorado's gtPathways courses

Academic Program Review Committee

Purpose: The review committee objectively evaluates each academic program. The CNCC academic program review process will observe a 2-3 year review cycle. In the first year, a program will be evaluated using an established review rubric. In year two of the cycle the review will report out on the suggested actions items to establish compliance, success, and action/inaction by leadership. Year three of the cycle is only for programs which did not achieve the desired outcomes as reports in year two.

Purpose: Evaluate CNCC's non-academic programs up for review to help identify the future direction, needs and priorities of each program.

CARE Team

Purpose: The CARE Team works to improve campus safety and student success by evaluating individuals that may pose a safety risk to themselves or others. The team coordinates with students, faculty, staff, and others to identify, assess, and intervene with individuals of concern.

Professional Development Committee
