Arts and Sciences (AA / AS)

Department of Arts and Sciences

AAAS1

The Arts and Sciences are at the core of instruction at Colorado Northwestern. Every degree program begins with a foundation in the Arts and Sciences. Students graduating from CNCC have a remarkably solid base on which to continue their education because of the foundation they acquired in the variety of Arts and Sciences courses offered at CNCC. Additionally, students seeking pre-Health degrees will find first class preparation for our Nursing and Dental Hygiene programs. Between our world-class faculty and facilities, CNCC is on par with the best of community colleges in the nation. Students will thrive because of CNCC’s small class sizes, innovative instructional technology, and the opportunity to experience the unique environment of Northwest Colorado.

CNCC is a leader in the Open-Educational Resources (OER) movement both in Colorado and the nation. A student in Arts and Sciences at CNCC will save thousands of dollars because nearly all our courses use OER (FREE) textbooks. This gives our students the freedom to use their textbooks online, offline, and no matter where they are. Our programs are available on our two beautiful campuses, online, or in hy-flex formats to fit the students’ needs.

Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees provide an inexpensive way to complete half of your bachelor’s degree requirements. With 60+60, guaranteed transfer courses, and transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities, CNCC will prepare you for success in continuing your education.
