Equine Training and Management

Equine Training and Management AAS

Equine Training & Management prepares students for careers in Colt Training, Horse Production, Horse Training, Stable Management, Riding Instruction, and more. Students who have a strong equine background work with leading industry trainers to maximize their skills in and out of the arena. The students work on core equitation, basic to advanced horsemanship, starting colts, and all aspects of horse and herd management. Our location in the center of recreation and ranching in Northwest Colorado makes it the ideal place to learn what it takes to manage and train horses. Do you have a horse? You can bring it with you to school. Our facilities include two large arenas, a covered pen, and a track all adjacent to miles of public land for outside riding. Don't worry if you don't have a horse to bring, the program has them for study and use. Courses include Anatomy & Physiology, Reproduction, Equine Evaluation, Equine Production, Basic & Advanced Riding, Herd & Health Management, Basic & Advanced Horse Training, Colt Starting, and Riding Instruction. Today’s multi-billion dollar equine industry is extremely competitive. At CNCC, we are committed to preparing students to rise to the top.
